Seville April Fair 2027: dates, casetas and nightlife

In short

  • The 2027 April Fair is expected from Tuesday 13 to Sunday 18 April, with the pescaíto dinner and the alumbrao (lighting) on the night of Monday 12. Seville City Council confirms the dates.
  • It takes place at the Real de la Feria, between Los Remedios and Tablada: over a thousand casetas (marquees), the lit gateway and the Calle del Infierno funfair.
  • Most casetas are private: you get in as a member’s guest. Public ones (the city districts’ and some associations’ and parties’) are open to everyone.
  • By day there are horses and carriages; by night, sevillanas and rebujito in the casetas until the early hours. Friday night is the busiest.
  • You don’t need a flamenco dress, but people dress up. Many Seville nightclubs hold special parties that week for after the fairground.

When is the Seville April Fair 2027?

The Fair is set each year from Holy Week: it starts about two weeks after Easter Sunday. Easter 2027 is on 28 March, so the expected dates are:

  • Monday 12 April, night: the «pescaíto» (fried-fish dinner) in the casetas and, at midnight, the «alumbrao», when the gateway and the fairground lights are switched on.
  • Tuesday 13 to Saturday 17: the Fair, day and night.
  • Sunday 18: last day; the Fair ends at midnight with fireworks.

The City Council confirms the dates and the local holiday. We’ll update this page as soon as they’re published.

Private and public casetas: can you get in?

Most casetas are private: they belong to families, groups of friends, companies, clubs or brotherhoods, and you only get in as a member’s guest. There’s usually someone at the door checking.

Public casetas are open to everyone: those of the city districts and some run by associations and political parties. They’re busier, and the best option if you don’t know anyone with a caseta.

What to wear to the Fair

  • Flamenco dress: many women wear one, but it isn’t compulsory. A smart dress or outfit fits in too.
  • Men: usually a suit or jacket and shirt, especially in private casetas.
  • Comfortable shoes: the fairground floor is albero (sand) and you’ll walk a lot.

After the fairground: Seville nightclubs during the Fair

When the casetas close, the night carries on in Seville’s nightclubs, which hold special parties during the Fair. In Andalusia they may stay open until 6:00 am, and 7:00 am on Fridays, Saturdays and eves of holidays (see club hours in Spain). That week’s parties appear here as venues put them on sale.

Seville nightclubs:

There are no parties on sale for these dates yet: venues usually publish them a few weeks before. They’ll appear here as soon as they do.
