About Jamboree

Jamboree is a jazz club and nightclub in a cellar on Plaça Reial, in the Gothic Quarter just off La Rambla (Liceu metro). It opened in 1960 as a jazz cellar that hosted Chet Baker, Dexter Gordon and Tete Montoliu, and since 1993 it has been run by the Mas i Mas group, which revived the habit of ending the night dancing: there are jazz, funk or soul gigs early in the evening (around 19:00 and 20:30), and then, from midnight, Jamboree Dance Club opens every day of the year.

Room 1 plays hip hop, R&B and dancehall, while room 2 plays reggaeton, trap and all-time hits. From Monday to Wednesday only room 1 opens, until 05:00; from Thursday to Sunday both rooms open and some nights run until 06:00. Club nights are 18+ and tickets are sold on its website, though many nights sell out, so it is worth arriving early. Football shirts, flip-flops and beachwear are not allowed.
