Metro Dance Club opened in June 1991 on the road from Bigastro to Jacarilla, in the Vega Baja area, and in 2026 it turns 35 as one of Spain's benchmark techno clubs. The site covers 36,000 m² including car park and green areas; at big parties it splits into six spaces, two outdoors (La Palmera and La Pinada) and four indoors (El Patio, Dancefloor, Living Room and El Corner), with pools and food. Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Indira Paganotto and Joseph Capriati have all played here.
It runs on an events basis, usually on Saturdays: Original Club with ANNĒ and Rebolledo on 14 November 2026 (8pm to 7.30am) and Never End on New Year's Eve. Advance tickets are sold on its website and some are always kept for the door; over-18s only. Payment is by cashless wristband, parking is free and there is a free shuttle from Orihuela station.
