About Kafe Antzokia

Kafe Antzokia fills the former San Vicente cinema in Abando, a short walk from the metro, and opened in December 1995 as a café-theatre and meeting point for Basque-language culture. By day it is a restaurant, and by night one of Bilbao's main concert halls, with an almost daily line-up of Basque and international acts across two floors.

Its regular club night is Stereorocks: every Friday from September to June, 1am to 6am, in the upstairs room, with techno, house and disco from local DJs and international guests (Jackmaster, Erol Alkan and Avalon Emerson have all played). Entry is usually €10 plus fees, sold through Kafe Antzokia's online box office, the Stereorocks website or Musikaze. At weekends the night carries on with its DJs, who play an eclectic, non-mainstream selection with room for Basque music.
