About La Comedia

La Comedia is an LGBTQ+ club in Málaga's old town, on Calle Comedias, a few steps from Plaza de la Merced. It opened in summer 2018 in the former Sala Velvet and belongs to the same group as Sala Gold and Theatro Club. It is a small venue with an intimate dance floor, hot-pink details and walls decorated with photos of famous drag queens.

It opens from Wednesday to Saturday, 8pm to 7am. There are drag shows every night with local and guest performers, and between acts the resident DJs play pop, electronic music and current hits. Although it is the go-to venue for the LGBTQ+ community in the centre, everyone is welcome. Entry usually includes a drink and the price changes with the day and time; the weekly programme is posted on its Instagram.
