Vela Puerto is the disco bar of the Marina Salinas marina in Torrevieja, on the eastern breakwater, and occupies the premises of the former Bacanal club. It belongs to Vela Group, the Torrevieja nightlife group that also runs Velice and Vela Beach. It has three areas: an indoor space with commercial music, a terrace overlooking the harbour, where the afternoon starts with a drink and ends with dancing in the open air, and a quieter chill-out area with sofas and shisha.
It opens Thursday to Sunday from 4pm to 4am, so it combines afternoon and night parties in one place; its contact page adds that it opens Monday to Wednesday from 10pm to 4am. There are VIP areas that can be booked on its website, and a kitchen serving burgers, sandwiches and pizzas for a bite during the afternoon. Under its former name, Bacanal, it was already one of the best-known clubs in town.
