Jimmy Jazz opened in December 2008 on Calle Coronación de la Virgen Blanca, in the Coronación neighbourhood a few minutes from the centre of Vitoria. It is the city's leading concert hall, holding around 800 people, with an almost daily line-up of rock, metal, punk, indie, folk and urban music, plus stand-up and theatre. Early on a club grew up inside the venue, #JJKLUB, which started with hip hop, reggae and dancehall and is now an electronic music club that has hosted underground artists from all over Europe.
Club nights are on Fridays and Saturdays from 1am, once the gigs are over: the JJeszena series brings in DJs every weekend, and crews such as Gaupa Kult, Caldera, Apetak, Bassteiz, Exilium (hard techno) and Jimmy Jazz Klub itself run their parties, with tickets at €10–15. On some Thursdays the JJ Ostegunak series offers free DJ sessions from midnight. Tickets are sold on its website and at the box office.
