Serras Barcelona, formerly The Serras, is an independent five-star boutique hotel, with one Michelin Key, on Passeig de Colom, opposite Port Vell. It occupies a century-old building that keeps its original façade, where Picasso had his first studio in 1896, aged 15: hence its Picasso Suite. It belongs to the Serra family, with interiors by Eva Martínez, and has 28 rooms and suites.

Its restaurant, Informal, serving Mediterranean cuisine, offers dinner every day from 19:00 to 22:30; the sixth-floor rooftop, with a pool, is open from 12:30 to 23:00 for cocktails and snacks, and Le Nine, the mezzanine lounge, is open 24 hours. For events it has the rooftop, for 70 people at a cocktail reception, which can be booked exclusively, Le Nine, for 50, and El Privado, for 18.
