Penélope opened in 1968 and is the historic club of La Carretera, the nightlife strip on Avenida de la Comunitat Valenciana on the edge of Benidorm. It sits on a 16,000 m² plot with 4,000 m² of buildings and holds more than 5,000 people. The covered main room, with a 25,000 W sound system, has a stage, six bars and VIP areas; outside there is a terrace with seven bars and a 500-seat restaurant (booking required), a pool area set among greenery and a car park for around 1,000 cars.
The main season is summer (the 2026 one opened on 27 June), with themed weekends of Latin, urban and house music and techno nights such as Kluster or Cristian Varela; the rest of the year it opens on key dates such as Halloween, New Year's Eve or the Euroclub party in January. Nights run until 8am. Tickets and VIP areas, for up to four people, are sold on its website. Entry is from 16 with ID.
