Penélope Beach Club is the beach-side sister of Penélope: a disco bar right on Levante beach, on Avenida de Alcoy, in the middle of the nightlife promenade. It opened in the mid-1980s and is open all year. By day it works as a café, serving breakfast, vermouth and snacks by the sea, and on some afternoons it holds «Tardes de Lío», its party afternoons with entertainment.
The ground floor, the largest area, has the dance floor, the DJ booth and a beachfront terrace serving more than 40 cocktails and shisha. Upstairs there is a quieter area with a raised terrace that can be hired for groups and private parties, and at the back a chill-out terrace with VIP areas. At night there is a DJ and themed parties such as Superlatino; entry is usually free, as along the rest of the Levante promenade, except for specific parties ticketed on its website. Entry is from 16, and when it closes the party carries on at Penélope club on the Carretera.
