Yambala is a small shisha and cocktail bar on Calle de Coloreros, an alley between Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Its décor with African touches, low seating and calm music have made it a refuge for a drink away from the bustle of Sol, and it appears in almost every guide to shisha in the city. The most popular orders are the fresh fruit cocktails and mojitos, followed by shisha, Moroccan mint tea and milkshakes; there is also sangria, tinto de verano and some food. It has nearly 700 Google reviews, with a score of 9, which highlight the friendly staff and the prices, under €20 per person. It opens in the afternoon, from 16:00, and fills up at weekends: best to go early.
