La Máquina Original is the first restaurant of the La Máquina group, opened in 1982 on Calle de Sor Ángela de la Cruz, in Tetuán, a short walk from Paseo de la Castellana. It serves traditional Spanish cooking with Asturian roots: its best-known dish is the fabada bean stew, and the menu goes on with fish and seafood from the markets of Galicia, Asturias, Alicante, Huelva and Cádiz, rice dishes such as arroz a banda or garden vegetable rice, blue lobster and meats such as entrecôte. It has a bar and a dining room, and the Repsol Guide recommends it in 2026. From Sunday to Wednesday it opens for lunch and dinner, until 2:00; from Thursday to Saturday the kitchen stays open through the afternoon. Tables can be booked, there is valet parking, and it hosts company lunches and private celebrations.
