About A'Barra

A’Barra is a produce-led fine-dining restaurant on Calle del Pinar, next to Paseo de la Castellana. It opened in May 2016 and six months later already had its Michelin star, which it has kept ever since; it also holds a Repsol Sun. It belongs to Sula Restauración, the alliance between Joselito and La Catedral de Navarra, which guarantees the best Iberian pork and seasonal vegetables from the Navarre market gardens, and in the kitchen head chef Sergio Manzano follows a simple idea: the finest produce, in step with the season. You can eat à la carte (carabinero prawn rice, steak tartare, pigeon aged in ham fat, Iberian Wellington) or with a twenty-course tasting menu. The main dining room, with large windows onto the garden, can be split into private areas, and there are private rooms (Biblioteca, Bellver, Dalí and Viola) for groups of 8 to 62, as well as a kitchen table for eight. Its bar, LA’BARRA, is built around a 14-tonne marble oval, with Joselito ham and Nacho Zamora’s signature cocktails, and is a good after-work spot.

Tasting menu (20 courses): €165. Sensorial pairing, €105; Private Collection, €215. Served until 3 pm at lunch and until 10 pm at dinner.
À la carte: Joselito 2015 Vintage ham, €42; starters from €22 to €48 (shrimp salad, grilled leeks with yolk and caviar, ravioli with smoked cheese and caviar, carabinero prawn rice, steak tartare); fish from €42 to €52 (lobster, hake with langoustine suquet, red mullet, market fish); meat from €42 to €56 (kid, aged beef, pigeon, Iberian royal); Iberian Wellington for two, €88.
