About Ramón Freixa Atelier

Ramón Freixa Atelier is the Catalan chef’s most avant-garde and personal side, on Calle de Velázquez in the Salamanca district. It shares a 600 m², double-height space with Ramón Freixa Tradición, his classic-cooking restaurant, and five months after opening it won back the chef’s two Michelin stars and added three Repsol Suns. It is an intimate space for only ten guests a night, seated around a U-shaped burr-wood table facing the open kitchen, where Freixa and his team prepare every course in front of the diner. It was designed by interior designer Alejandra Pombo, and the table is laid with Limoges porcelain, hand-blown glasses and silver cutlery. There are two 17-course tasting menus that change with the seasons: Origen and Origen Vegetalia, the latter entirely vegan, not as an adaptation but as a statement of intent. Three pairings go with them, one of them alcohol-free. It opens for dinner only, Wednesday to Saturday.
