About Bascoat

Bascoat is Nagore and Rodri’s Basque restaurant on Paseo de La Habana, very close to the new Santiago Bernabéu, with two Repsol Suns in 2026. Its name is the term the Gascons used for the Basque Country in the 11th century, and its cooking pays tribute to the foundations of Basque cuisine: produce, fire and season. The grill takes centre stage, with turbot, sole and a Simmental beef chop aged about 35 days, alongside classics such as hake in salsa verde with clams, Donostia-style spider-crab raviolo, rice with clams or lobster bordelaise, and San Sebastián bar snacks such as the gilda 2.0, inherited from their previous house, Arima, salt-cured anchovies or the chorizo omelette bite. There is an à la carte menu and a thirteen-course tasting menu, a cellar with a long wine list and a cocktail list. The dark, warm dining room of wood, hide and stone looks onto the kitchen; because of its size there is no room for pushchairs, no high chairs and no children’s menu.
