Call to bookAbout Kabuki
Kabuki is the restaurant where it all began: the mother house of Grupo Kabuki, opened in June 2000 on Avenida del Presidente Carmona, next to the Bernabéu, when going to a Japanese restaurant in Madrid was still a rarity. Kabuki cooking was born here, the crossroads between Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine: from this counter came the first of the now essential fried-egg, butterfish and mini-burger nigiri, and dishes such as the turbot omelette. Regulars consider it the most intimate of the group, for its service and its size. The dining room is presided over by the sushi counter and won Madrid City Council’s award for the best-designed commercial premises in its opening year. Today the chef is Víctor Serrano, and the dining room is run by Chelo País, with part of the team there since day one. It has a terrace in the garden opposite, much sought after in season, a wine and sake list, menus that can be paired and dishes to take away or for delivery.

It does not publish prices on its website; there is an à la carte menu and set menus that can be paired with wines from its cellar.
Its classics, born at this counter: fried-egg, butterfish and mini-burger nigiri; turbot omelette; counter sushi and sashimi; Japanese-Mediterranean fusion dishes.
