Call to bookAbout Otoro Jukusei
Otoro Jukusei is an omakase counter on Calle de Fernández de la Hoz in Chamberí, specialising in sushi made with aged fish, jukusei in Japanese, and one of the new Repsol Suns of 2026. It combines top-level Japanese technique with the cosy atmosphere of a gourmet Spanish izakaya: an authentic, respectful omakase without the traditional formality, in which every service is unique. Ageing cabinets of tuna, belly and white fish preside over the room, and the robata with binchōtan, Japanese charcoal, completes the kitchen with Kagoshima A5 wagyu or Angus skirt. You eat from three omakase menus of fifteen to seventeen courses, with caviar and wagyu in the longer ones, or à la carte, with oysters, aged tuna sashimi, nigiri by the piece, donburi and homemade desserts. The wine list changes up to four times a year, with limited-production Spanish and international wines, sparkling wines and a list of Japanese sakes. Its sister restaurant is Otoro Tapas, on Doctor Esquerdo.
